Antenatal Classes
Three classes. Everything you and your partner need to feel ready.
Our antenatal class package is a structured three-class series, Pregnancy, Birth and Baby, led by the same experienced midwives who deliver our maternity care. Practical, evidence-based and honest, with plenty of room for your questions. Partners are welcome. We want them there.
Who it's for
- Expecting parents from around 24 weeks of pregnancy
- First-time parents who want to know what actually happens, and parents who'd like a refresher
- You do not need to be a NOH maternity patient to attend
The three classes
- Pregnancy, your changing body, warning signs worth acting on, staying well in the third trimester, and preparing for labour.
- Birth, the stages of labour, pain-relief options, when to come to hospital, what your birth team does, and what happens if plans change (including caesarean birth).
- Baby, feeding (with real breastfeeding support), sleeping, bathing, what's normal and what's not, and surviving the first weeks at home.
How it works
- Classes run at Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital, east of Johannesburg, the same hospital where our mothers deliver, so you'll know the environment before the big day
- Best attended between weeks 24 and 34
- Book once, and we confirm your dates for all three sessions

Pregnancy should not come with surprise bills, or a different face at every visit. The Network One Health Maternity Programme is one agreed fee for your whole pregnancy. Your antenatal visits. Routine scans and blood tests. Antenatal classes. A doula with you in labour. Your birth in hospital. And care for you and your baby, up to the six-week review. Your care is led by a midwife who knows you, with a specialist obstetrician overseeing every step, and ready to step in if you need more. It starts with one assessment. We confirm your dates, listen to your story, and check that the programme is right for you. Then you follow one plan, with one team, from your first visit to your six-week review. Cash or medical scheme. Johannesburg or Pretoria. Ask us to call you at hpmanyonga.co.za, or WhatsApp Noma on 065 072 5315.
Lehlohonolo found Network One Health on TikTok. Her midwife Mando made the journey easy, and when gestational diabetes was found she was referred to Dr Majachani for her birth.

Hi guys, my name is Lehlohonolo, and I'm a patient at Network One. Am I a patient, or? Ex-patient! I first got introduced to Network One on TikTok. I got one of the best antenatal programmes, and that was the best journey of my life. My midwife was Mando, and I felt like I was at home. She made my pregnancy journey very easy, and things that I couldn't understand she made easy. Throughout the journey I found out that I had gestational diabetes, and I had to be referred to Dr Majachani. It was also the best decision ever. He's the best doctor, and he's the one that helped me give birth. Network One is the best. I would advise each and every mother who finds out they are pregnant to contact Network One. The staff here is wonderful, and they are very educational about your pregnancy and everything that you go through.
Dineo's takeaway from an NOH antenatal class: letting people help, and giving her partner a bigger role in the journey.

My takeaway from the session today was about attachment, because I'm really attached. So I'm preparing myself mentally, not to detach, but to let go a bit and allow other people to assist and to also bond with the baby. Because I was planning on being overly active, being the one that's there for the baby all the time. So now I'm already thinking about letting people help and also be there for me, and not try to do everything on my own, plan everything on my own, and also let my partner play a bigger role than what I've been giving him already with the planning and the things he's been thinking about. So I'm taking those things into consideration so that he can also be part of the journey, and be a dad the way he wants to. And I'll try not to judge him, and just let him be. Yeah, that's my takeaway. Thank you.
